Dear reader, visitor and friend,

As 2011 is fading out to give way to a new year, I would like to wish you and your loved ones a Happy and Prosperous 2012!

I would  also like to sincerely thank for your continuous interest and appreciation for this blog.

Your continuous support and feedback motivates me to write and share more useful content. Since I write the content myself to ensure consistency  in the style and the quality, I cannot promise you that you will find tones of articles when you come back for more. However, you can be assured that you will always find some useful and practical content on this blog each time I have the privilege to welcome you back.

Referring to my previous article The 8 Keys to Turning Your Resolutions into Reality, I would like to share some tips for your success in 2012.
Be it a personal, relationship, financial, career or business goal, the 8 keys below will prove to be useful in catching your next flight to success in 2012.

  • First Key: Define exactly what it is that you really want to accomplish in 2012;
  • Second Key: Identify who will benefit from the outcome of your endeavour;
  • Third Key: Set a clear target date by which you want to achieve your desired goal;
  • Fourth Key: Establish clearly the reasons why you must achieve the desired goal and by the  target date;
  • Fifth Key: Define the actions you need to take in order to achieve the desired goal as well as the related time limits in line with the target date you have set;
  • Sixth Key: Take the first step or action at once;
  • Seventh Key: Take at least one action daily toward the accomplishment of your desired goal;
  • Eighth Key: Review your goal definition and your performance on a daily basis.

Although I have no idea what your goal may be for the new year, I would like to seize this opportunity to share mine with you.

My personal goal in 2012 is to raise funds through the sales of my book THE imPOSSIBLE FLIGHT in support of leading non-profit programs that promote education, prevent high school dropouts and help dropouts return to school. You may not be aware of this, but 2011 is probably concluding another gigantic wave of nearly 2 millions dropouts in North America. As a brother, a friend, a parent, a school committee member, or simply a citizen or a taxpayer, I am very concerned about the potential social and financial impacts of this hidden tsunami in our communities across Canada and the USA. But at the same time, I am strongly convinced that if we join forces and commit to supporting programs such as the Grad Nation campaign by America’s Promise Alliance in the USA and the Graduation Nation campaign by Pathways to Education in Canada, etc., we are more than able to turn the tide of this devastating, silent tsunami in our communities and worry more about how many more jobs we need to create in the short and long terms to sustain and grow our economy.

I know that targeting 2012 as a zero-dropout year would be more than wishful thinking, but I am sure that if each one of us gets involved, if we do not let our governments alone handle the situation, if we do not remain indifferent, we can make of 2012 a year of significant progress toward some future zero-dropout year both in Canada and the USA.

Together, let’s act now!

I wish you catch your next flight to success in 2012 and once again to you and your loves ones, I wish a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Sincerely,
